Below is the Top 100 high school prospects in the country for the 2012 draft. The list is based on future pro potential and was put together with the input of dozens of scouts and college coaches. This year’s high school class is deep, so several quality players were left off. It should also be noted that a handful of players that have announced they will be skipping their senior year of high school to enroll in college early were not considered for the list. Those players include shortstop C.J. Hinojosa (Texas), third baseman Fernando Perez (Central Arizona JC) and catcher Taylor Gushue (Florida). Elite Baseball Alum righthander Trevor Megill (Loyola Marymount) is also skipping out early.
