UC Irvine EBS Game 2 Players of The Game
August 2, 2009
It was a gorgeous Saturday afternoon for baseball at the 2nd annual Elite Baseball Series at UC Irvine’s Anteater Ballpark. As is customary with the Elite Baseball Series, the showcase featured a very competitive field of talent. Two players separated themselves from the pack and put on exceptionally impressive performances. Elite Baseball would like to congratulate Ben Wylly OF/LHP out of Woodbridge High School and Eric Hsieh LHP/OF out of Dana Hills High School for being nominated the EBS UC Irvine Game 2 Players of The Game.
Ben Wylly went 3-4 with a grand slam, a double, a single and two stolen bases for Elite Black while Eric Hsieh gave up only 2 hits, had one strikeout and pitched three scoreless innings for Elite Gold. The winning pitcher was Trevor Miguel for Elite Black out of Marina High School in a game that saw Elite Black win 14 to 3.
Congratulations to Ben Wylly and Eric Hsieh for their outstanding performance at Game 2 of the 2009 Elite Baseball Series at UCI Irvine.
