Game two of the 2nd annual Elite Baseball Series at UCLA’s Jackie Robinson Stadium featured an impressive offensive showing from both Elite Black and Elite Gold. Although there were quite a few standouts, the two players of the game were Alex Lightfoot out of Valencia High School and Joe Musgrove, RHP from Grossmont High School. Lightfoot from Elite Black went 2 for 3, with 3 RBI’s and had a two run triple in the 9th with 2 outs to tie the game. Joe Musgrove from Elite Gold retired 6 straight batters with 5 infield ground outs. The game ended in a 12 to 12 tie after 9 innings and a three hour slugfest.
